Pre-Startups
A pre-startup refers to the very early stage of a business idea, before the official formation of a company or startup. A pre-startup stage provides a time window for a startup, to conceptualize the business, conduct initial research, develop the product or service idea, and prepare for the launch. The pre-startup stage give founders the flexibility to explore, learn, and refine their business ideas with minimal risk, laying a solid foundation for future growth and success.
The idea of a pre-startup is particularly beneficial for students and faculty members as it provides them with the time and flexibility needed to explore entrepreneurial opportunities without the pressures typically associated with full-scale startups. Students can leverage academic and entrepreneurial balance in this stage. In this stage, there is creative freedom and much more opportunities for mentorship and collaboration.
